Here's Lucy doing her best at trying to crawl. She is so frustrated because she can only go backwards so far. It won't be long!!

Milwaukee Visit
Lucy has had trouble embracing the Central time zone, meaning that she is up and at em at 5 am when we come here. We had a fun dinner last night at Bayshore's Bravo Cucina and Pap is taking us to see another house they are not really going to buy out in Grafton.......She has discovered Ghilly, my parents' Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and she likes that they are on the same level, staring into each others' eyes. Hilarious!

Welcome Babies Allen!
Greg and Laura welcomed Colton Chase and Sullivan Sloane into the world this afternoon at just over 31 weeks! They are all doing great and weighed 3 lb 10 oz and 3 lb 9 oz, 17 inches long! Welcome cousins and nephew/niece :) We are so excited you are here but so sad we are in Milwaukee this weekend. We will see you soon.

6 Months Old!
Lucy is 6 months old today! She is sitting up pretty well by herself and today picked up her paci off the changing table and put it into her mouth!! Amazing. She had a meltdown at pilates unfortunately so we have to leave early. Small nap before pilates meant she was a bear in there. So much for my workout. At least I jogged there and back. Dr. appt is next week so we will learn her stats then. She's still a peanut as you can see! We head to Milwaukee tomorrow to see the family for the weekend. Back on Tuesday! Have a good weekend :)

Me Llamo Lucy
Granny brought Lucy another new outfit today which came with matching headband. If I left Granny in charge full time she might have pierced ears next week! In other news, we are working on her first veggie, sweet potatoes, this week. She's doing better on day 2, but that means about 1 tsp. goes down :)

Crazy Legs
I came upon Lucy at one of her 3 wakings last night (Lord, why are we regressing??) and found her face down with both legs out the side of the crib. So basically straddling two of the crib slats screaming her head off. I had to laugh at that moment because both of us crying wouldn't do anyone any good. I decided it was time to put the bumpers back in the crib since we are out of the woods with her not being able to move away from them to get air. The kid is like Speed Racer getting from one end of the crib to the other and flipping from back to front and front to back. The willful little one is not far from crawling I fear!

HHI Westin
We moved over to the Westin for our last night in HHI. Lucy and dad took a dip in the indoor pool and as you can see Lucy was tuckered out after that activity. Guess who dressed her in the Bjorn w/onesie and hat? Nice goin' dad. Her little frog legs are hilarious though! She's also featured in the Heavenly Bed which she unfortunately shared with us after she decided it was party time from 2-4 am. Sharing a hotel room with an infant...not recommended! She is pretty skilled at doing the "inchworm" where she tries to crawl using only her legs, which results her sort of dragging her face across the floor. Lovely! Gotta work on those biceps Lucy!

New Golf Buddy
Tonight we had trouble finding a place to eat dinner at 6 pm...all the old folks and people like us with young ones are out to eat at the early bird hour! We ended up at a sushi place that was pretty good but the most exciting part was that we met PGA tour golfer Ben Crane and his family. They were so nice! His 16 month old daughter Cassidy thought Lucy was the coolest and they had fun entertaining each other while the parents attempted to get in a few bites of low country sushi. Ben made the cut so root for him if you're watching the Verizon Heritage this weekend!!

Beach and Pool (a bit cold!)
We woke at 5:45 am and saw the sunrise out our porch...unfortunately I'm up at sunrise every day, but this was a treat. The views are just great from our condo. Then we walked with the jogger down the beach a while, attemped to take a shortcut back and of course that didn't work so we ended up back on the beach to return home. Lucy dipped her toes in the pool. She was a little unsure of the whole thing. She was exhausted after the day's activities and was asleep at 7:15. Mommy will be in bed soon too!

Hilton Head Trip
We've arrived at our beautiful condo and are situated. Lucy only screamed for 10 minutes before passing out in her rent-a-crib. We are looking forward to a week of fun in the sun! Here are Lucy and daddy at Wild Wings. I can assure you there was nothing Wild about it at 5 pm dinner on a Tuesday with an almost 6-month-old :)

New Things
Here's the latest in Lucy-ville. She's turning over from her back to her front all the time. She's sleeping from 7:30 pm till 4:30 am (0n a good day) and back to sleep till 6:30 or 7 if we're lucky. She's obsessed with Teletubbies and the Backyardigans. Any show with brightly colored figures singing and dancing can totally capture her attention. OH, and we tried the Fuzzi Bunz cloth diapers yesterday and ended up with a leaky poopy diaper! I don't think they are tight enough for her skinny thighs. I will try again when she fattens up a bit.

Lucy in a Box
Lucy is supposed to sleep in this thing when we go to Hilton Head next week. Why do I have a feeling none of us are going to get any sleep? The other pic is of her in her country club finest. Yesterday we went to an open house at Belle Haven CC in Alexandria so we had to put her in something fancy! If you see a small spot under her collar, it's because she puked on it as soon as I put it on. The funniest thing is that some lady there asked me if I made this dress/sewed the smocking on the front. Hah! I've been missing a button on my raincoat for 2 years now. If I can attach that I would be in business.

Lucy and Friends
We had a fun day--neighborhood get-together w/kids, then brunch at the Lynch's. Here are some pics of me, Lee and Winnie (my former--SAD!--coworkers) and our little ones. If you can believe this, Lee's son Jeff (see pics) is one DAY older than Lucy. His head is bigger than her entire body! You can see his dad Tom trying to help him hold it up :) It won't be long before we are chasing these little ones around.

Vintage Happy Apple
Here's Lucy playing with the Happy Apple, her old, or "vintage" toy....it was mine. Granny has saved SOO many of my baby toys. One day, we will do a fashion show with her vintage wardrobe. Also, notice her Chinese booties, also a gift from Granny. This is a 9 month outfit! Grow Lucy grow! I can't keep up with her fast growing nails..see gash on her forehead :)
