Neither Lucy nor Linus was very interested in posing for pics at the pool. But we had fun nonetheless. Lucy even shared a few fries with Linus (after he wolfed down his ice cream!).

Food!

Lucy has speared a nugget and is actually eating it! Important things that need to be captured on film! She really likes using a fork now and it sometimes inspires her to eat. Whatever it takes. I will give her a pitchfork if she would eat with it.

Car Fun

Well the car is NOT really fun when it's 90+ and you are 7+ months pregnant and trying to fight Lucy to get into her car seat. Her latest trick is to contort her body into a plank position, making it impossible to snap either part of the car seat latches. Here she is showing me her teeth and practicing for her summer internship guarding Buckingham Palace. This is the only way she will wear her hat, BTW.

FRIIIIIES!

As everyone knows, Lucy does not like to eat much, but her new summer obsession is chicken fingers and fries. I mean, what CC pool serves anything remotely healthy? She begs for the pool, chicken and fries on a daily basis. And has a complete tantrum when we have to leave the pool without hitting the snack bar. I just hope she doesn't learn our BH number soon and start charging things when I'm not looking!

Lucy is spouting off new words all the time, she points out everything she sees out the car window and has a great memory. I told her early this morning we would have cupcakes at a playdate this afternoon and as soon as she got up from her nap she was asking for "ta-takes." Nothing gets past her!

Songstress

Lucy loves music, and has loved it for a long time. Now in the car if the music's not loud enough, she'll say, "More! More!" Here she is with pursed lips in the middle of on of her diddies. The songs I can understand are the Elmo's World song, and a bit of the ABC's song. She is always making some sort of noise.
